We are always on the lookout for new members to join our team, even more so with the release of the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 still receiving support from Microsoft, we at Xboxer are looking to expand our team to be able to cope with the additional reviews and news. Xboxer.co.uk is a part of the Xbox Community Network (XCN) and receives around 180,000 unique visitors a month.
If you are UK-based and over 18 years old then drop Xboxer an email! Location isn’t important but if you do live close to, or in London then there’s a chance that you will have the opportunity to attend press events on behalf of Xboxer. Your main role on the site will be to write news that you’ve sourced and to write-up press releases that get sent via email to the team. There’s an opportunity to write features around a subject you may feel strongly about and of course the chance to write reviews for both retail and XBLA games. A strong knowledge of the Xbox brand and gaming is preferable as is a clear understanding of the English language and grammar. All positions on Xboxer are voluntary.
We are a close team, always chatting on email and Twitter so ideally successful applicants should have access to both of these. We don’t operate a quota system but if you produce 20 posts a month then you can apply for review copies when they become available, any review copies are then yours to keep.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team with the aim at building a bigger and better community. Applicants should be classed as experts in social media with experience in Facebook and Twitter management, the applicant must also show a good command of the English language. We will look at expanding our platforms over the course of time. Experience with Photoshop is also an advantage although not required.
Do you love eSports? We’re looking for a creative person that’s wired into the eSports industry as a whole but to mainly focus on the EU scene. Your role would be to cover the industry in the form of news, interviews and features, you will be given freedom in regards to content. You will also be in charge of the eSports content team who will help you with news and write ups. Knowledge of Photoshop is an absolute must for this role.
eSports Writer (2 positions)
We’re looking for 2 people who eat, breath and sleep eSports. Your role will be to cover all news from the eSports industry under the guidance of the eSports editor.
eSports North America Writer
As above but a US based writer.
You will be working directly with Phil, our Indie editor, your role will be to aid Phil in seeking indie content, communicating with developers and creating previews, reviews and interviews in the Indie community. This is a role suited to people who love and support indie games and development.
Staff Writer (4 positions)
We’re looking for some talented people to join our day-to-day content team, your job will be finding the latest news, videos, screenshots and information that our readers want to see. You will also receive review code for the Xbox One or Xbox 360 based on your performance, these games will be for you to keep.
