City Interactive, the developers behind Sniper Ghost Warrior, have announced a brand new action RPG, Lords of the Fallen, which is being led by Tomasz Gop who you may remember as the senior producer behind The Witcher 2. Described as a demanding and strategic third person experience, it’s being developed for all next-gen consoles.
“Our team is building Lords of the Fallen specifically for players who enjoy taking on huge challenges, where the odds are stacked against them, From the very beginning, Lords of the Fallen will intrigue and satisfy players’ hunger to explore each corner of a brand new world, freely customize and build their own character and take down some of the most epic enemies ever seen.”
Lords of the Fallen promises some advanced combat systems along with a robust skill tree, delivering a rich fantasy world where the gods have failed mankind. Sounds good so far right?
You’ll be put in the shoes of Harkyn, a human tasked with a quest to fight a seemingly unstoppable supernatural force, with decisions left in your hands which will shape the journey’s path and storyline. Scheduled for a 2014 release, Lords of the Fallen is sounding pretty good so far although it does leave you to wonder if City Interactive and Gop himself are planning to take on the The Witcher 3 head-to-head?
Whatever the case, You can expect to hear more details at E3 next month.
