It appears that Telltale’s co-founder and CEO Dan Connors may have given the wrong year for its estimated release window for Season 2 of The Walking Dead.

Connors told Eurogamer that the next season of undead slaying would skip 2013 by saying that they were “aiming for fall next year.”

This certainly left a lot of fans disappointed with the longer than expected wait, but this was in actual fact an error in words by Dan Connors.

In a statement sent to GameInformer, all is explained:

“The current estimated release window for Season Two of The Walking Dead is for fall of ‘this’ year (2013), and not ‘next’ year (2014) as has been reported after a recent interview.”

So fans need not worry. We will have yet another Walking Dead game out this year. We’d also like to congratulate Telltale Games for their BAFTA Game Award for Best Story.

“We apologize for any confusion and thank you and all of our fans for your continued excitement for Telltale’s series.”

Where do you want the next season to take us?
