Tron: Evolution Developer, Propaganda Games, Officially Closes Thomas Mulrooney 20 January, 2011 News The developer of Tron: Evolution, Propaganda Games, is officially closed according to a report by Joystiq. Disney Interactive, parent company of Propaganda Games, confirmed the bad news to the gaming blog and issued the following statement: “Disney Interactive Studios confirms the closure of its Vancouver-based internal game development studio, Propaganda Games. The studio has completed all work associated with its most recent project.” With Propaganda’s Pirates of the Caribbean game being cancelled last October the developer had nothing left to work on following the release of Tron: Evolution. Post release DLC for the game came in the form of a free download, but it’s unclear whether or not more was planned and if anymore will be released (we’re thinking that it’s unlikely). Propaganda Games didn’t have the best track record; with 2008’s Turok reboot being panned by critics and consumers alike. However, it’s always sad to see the loss of a studio and our thoughts go out to all those people affected by its closure.
