Hideo Kojima’s KojimaStation web show broadcasted a 30-minute gameplay preview of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain earlier today.

Presumably taking place at the start of the game proper (due to the narrator skipping the tutorial section), we see Snake traversing the dusty desert area showcased in earlier gameplay previews and trailers, utilising a number of new (and returning) features to his advantage, such as the Fulton (from Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker), the cardboard box (from every MGS game, ever), the E-Cigar and his trusty steed (which we’re naming Shadowfax, natch).

You can view the gameplay preview below, and directly below that is the full KojimaStation show from today.

The Phantom Pain’s open world is 200 times larger than that of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, the recently-released prequel/demo/thing that Jamie recently awarded 88%.
