Major Nelson has posted some interesting information on his blog, detailing the most popular games on Xbox Live in 2012.

The stats are based on average Unique Users per day connected to Xbox LIVE or full versions purchased between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2012.

There is no real surprise to see Call of Duty and Halo up at the top of the list, but most pleasing was the Minecraft was in 4th place.
